| Ai came into YuiÕs life when Yui was 6. 2 years older than Yui, Ai is the stepsister from YuiÕs motherÕs remarriage. Having to endure domestic violence from their father and the ignorance from their mother, the two depend on each other and form an unbreakable bond. When the two girls reach middle school, they face the danger of separation when their parents plan for divorce. In hope of staying together, the two girls run away from home and head for the metropolis: Tokyo. Wondering through the streets of Shinjuku, the two girls live a carefree life. However, the carefree life comes to an abrupt end when their funds are depleted. In order to survive, the girls resort to digging through trash and stealing. One night, Ai steals a bag from an old man who had mistaken her as a prostitute.
